Lone travellers are often given tiny rooms which are little more than a cupboard with a bed in it, but here I had a lovely spacious triple room. Clean and comfortable, towels changed daily. Lovely breakfast cooked to individual requirements . John was very welcoming and helpful and I enjoyed my 3 nights there. I will definately stay again .

The breakfast in the morning and the lady that served us very nice.
We were made to feel very unwanted soon as we arrived we were given no info on breakfast times or anything,we went to the bar for a glass of ice to have with our water and were questioned, felt very uncomfortable there. The only reason we chose that hotel was from the reviews of how nice the owner was,we had a suprise when meeting him he didnt have any time just for a short welcome.

I loved the hospitality of the owner. That was great. I travelled together with my 6 year old son and it felt like being home. He helped to prepare me packed lunches for my son as he was attending 2 days football training. Great stay. Very good location from town centre too and restaurants. I will surely go back if I go to Wrexham.

The room was very clean and well presented and the staff were friendly and welcoming.
On arrival, it wasn't immediately obvious where/who I should report to in order to check in

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The owner is the nicest guy you could ever meet. The rooms are the cleanest and the decor is amazing. There's not many hotels like this still around which is a pity, and if you want to stay at a proper traditional British hotel, then this is it. Was in town for a Jazz guitar weekend, and this hotel made the weekend into something special. I would come back here with my wife again, just to experience this fantastic hotel and service which is second to none, not to mention the breakfasts, which are out of this world. Highly recommended.
it was all good.

I only used the hotel as an overnight bed, as I was picked up by a friend soon after arrival and went back to the same friend in the morning for breakfast. Having said that, I found the staff friendly and helpful, and would stay there again for an extended period if I was visiting the area.

Friendly staff, comfortable room, great well cooked English breakfast, location was excellent only a short walk into the city centre from the hotel.
Room decoration was a little dated, room could have been cleaned better as there were a number of cobwebs above the beds. Just needs a bit of tlc to go from a good b&b to a great one. But above all excellent value.
